Congratulations on graduating Aaron, feel very proud of you and thus motivates you to pursue your dreams.

So here are some ideas I listed out for you of finding a job. But first of all, it is important for you to understand that now you’re going to have many responsibilities on your shoulders, and you have to be strong enough for you to be able to face the struggles to come. Also Aaron, you are a very close person to me I am telling you this, no matter what job you will get, be it receiving a higher salary or not, all you need to know is you have enough money to satisfy the basic needs in order to lead a decent life. So here are the ideas/ advice which I thought would be beneficial for you.

Be sure in which field you would like to work, once you are 100% sure  then you can proceed by keeping your job searched focused, that is use job search engines to find job by using keywords that match your interests and the location where you want to work. In fact, narrowing your search criteria will help you focus your job search and hence will give you more relevant job listings to review and fewer non-relevant job listings to weed through. However, you will have to be specific of what position you are interested as well as the location of the job should be taken into consideration for avoiding future problems.

Review is Key:

Furthermore, I personally think that you should at least apply in more than one company just for you to be assured that if you’re rejected in one you have other options. Anyway, the next step is to create a list of companies you’d love to work with then you use job search apps and tools to know more about the companies you listed out. Also if you have friends, relatives or acquaintances working in any companies on the list you could ask them for a review about the company in that way you will somehow be connected with the company’s way of working thus having an idea of what are the qualities you will require to adopt.

The Process:

Next, you prepare a non-resume just to make sure that you’re fully prepared or not. And if, not then keep practicing and try to find out if you’re lacking something. Once you are confident enough that you are fully ready then you can proceed by accepting to be interviewed. Now remember it you want the job then do not let the interviewer interviews you instead you interview him/her by answering brilliantly and confidently to questions not giving him/her much time to ask further questions.

Furthermore, your cv or resume must be well laid out and clear and should usually contain the following details: name, address, telephone number, date of birth, nationality, education and qualifications, work experience, positions of responsibility, interests and names and addresses of referees (for reference). The letter of the applicant also should outline briefly as to why the applicant wants the job and why the applicant feels he/she would be suitable. However, applications forms are sometimes completed in place of the cv and usually ask for other information that is specifically relevant to the job. Also, just to be on the safe side it is important to check out offline jobs as well as not all vacancies are posted on the net.

So, the next thing to do is in some circumstances you will need to develop new qualities, strategies and most importantly new thinking. You will have to acquire the skills of thinking ahead and in a rational way so that not to mixed personal and professional life. The skills, qualities and strategies developed will help you in the future projects to come.

From the moment you start to get calls or e-mails, always ask for a day or two to think before giving final answer. You must learn to evaluate the effectiveness of each opportunity and reply you receive. Once you have evaluated each and every point you can then give your final answer and even when you are giving your response you will have to adopt the way of talking in a professional manner and always say thank you at the end of the call. In this way, the person on the other side of the call will already have an impression on you.
